Heavenly Father, it is so easy for us to worry and fret over the future. The natural world is filled with so many distractions. The enemy is quick to pull our attention away from what is true and Holy. To lie and tell us that we have no where to turn and must rely on ourselves. We know we are woefully unprepared to take on the world. Let us look to our history. Our history with you, Papa. The history of how you have walked with us, shielded us, held us, and rescued us over and over and over. You have forgiven us when we’ve fallen. You have forgiven us when we doubted. You have forgiven us when we sat on Your throne and decided we knew best. Through it all, you love us. With a love we cannot fathom. When we are overwhelmed Lord, let us remember that You have shown us how to live. Let us look back on our journey with You and know that when we walk hand in hand with you, the future is secure. No matter what the world throws at us, we are victorious as children of the mighty God. Thank you for your provision and faithfulness. Open our eyes that we may see and our minds that we may remember that you are always good. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
