Lord, it is so easy to become tied to this world. To our homes. Our lives. We have learned to walk in a fallen world, and too often, we have learned to accept it. We get comfortable in this temporary home. Help me to remember that my citizenship is in Heaven. My inheritance is with you. The things of the world are temporary. Let me not assign them permanent status in my heart. Keep me focused on you. Let me be obedient despite fear. Let me take your hand that I may be all you have planned for me. In the precious blood of Jesus. Amen.
