Teach Me To Be Content

My sweet Jesus, I love you. And despite that, I find myself wanting more or something different. I want to change my circumstances. I think if I just have this, or do that, then I’ll find peace and contentment. I try to solve my problems without Your help. I forget to thank you and immerse myself in your grace when my life is filled with happiness and joy. I run to you and away from you based on my circumstances. Change my heart, Jesus. Let me reside with you always. Let me commune with Holy Spirit who is in me. Let Your work be done in me that I may know true contentment as Paul knew it. That I might learn to use the challenges and joys of my life to walk closer to you and fall completely into your arms. I want nothing more than to live in Your strength and to be used in Your service. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
