I’m Home

Heavenly Father, there are few sweeter words than “I’m Home.” Forgive me, Father, when I leave Your home for my own selfish desires. Help me to be content in Your house and not search out worldly things to fill the sad or lonely places. Let me remember that You never leave me nor do You forsake me. You love me and pursue me no matter what I do. There is no mistake too big. No betrayal too damaging. No arrogance so powerful that Your love cannot overcome. Chase me, Father, when I try to run. Give me humility to come to you and repent. To accept Your love and gifts. Let me rest and abide in your open arms. Thank you for keeping the door open that we might be in relationship together as I walk my earthly journey until it is my time to return to my eternal home. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
